Fantastic ! Incredible ! :woot:
The ruins of aqueducts park, the team Subbuteo of “Don Bosco Cinecittà” with his colours...even the sheeps...wonderful ! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

But I have something for you too…

In Sunday, July 20, 2014 my son Daniel (fucco97) and me, we went to visit the area of “Don Bosco Cinecittà” pitch, in the “Parco degli acquedotti” - south suburban of Rome.

25 years ago, we walked a trail that passed under this first aqueduct…

… to reach the small bridge over the “Acqua Mariana canal”…(in roman slang “Marana”)

My son on the bridge indicates the pitch area…

…and this is now abandoned and fallow pitch seen from the “corner” of the bridge side…

On my right the imaginary line side of pitch, and to my left the "Marana", now dried up, that watered the allottments, located 25 years ago, to the far right of this photo.
There is no longer the fence that kept the ball, and we ran after that, ending up in the "Marana" ...

The lines of pitch were drawn every Saturday morning from the old farmer of the allottments, before the match, but they were always a little crooked :D

In this photo, behind me and front of the trees, was one football goal.
Under the trees were football locker rooms: a kind of palafitte with showers
:woot:

The naughty bush to my left, stands in the center circle of pitch.
Behind me, the side band “Aqueduct”, opposite to side band “Marana”

In this photo, from the side line of side band “Aqueduct”, you can see the area in front of the Roman ruins where the sheeps pastured, while we took to kicking a ball

My son in the other football goal area: behind him, other segments of the aqueduct

Today the football goals there are more, but maybe we could use this...

Continuing our tour of the park, we are still impressed by the imposing vestiges of our past...

...and it's nice to do a “selfie” in this context with my son

The “Don Bosco Cinecittà” played here ...

How many pleasant and enjoyable memories !
Thanks you, our english friends!

This is the strength of OldSubbuteo !
