I can confirm next years Fair and Tournament will fall on the same weekend, that being :-

SUNDAY 13TH MARCH 2011

FAIR - 9.30AM - 12.45PM
THE ANGO ITALIAN OLD SUBBUTEO CUP TOURNAMENT FROM 2PM

So make a note in your diary now.

if you were a seller this year and/or would like to sell next year but couldn't make it this year then the sooner you can confirm to me that you expect to be there in 2011 the sooner i can make sure we have the right size venue as the cricket club was pretty much filled to capacity this year.

also,if you intend to come as a player again or for the first time early confirmations would be great

cheers

jon

ps - accept my apologies but i don't speak italian

What a great day it was yesterday, the fair was fantastic and the tournament in the afternoon was even better. I finished 1/4 Cialtrons, which is a good result for me, so i was happy with that.
It was so nice to meet everyone, out Italian friends were great company and we all had a great time. Thanks to Robuteo for the translating and the picture from Reggio Emilia, and to Stefano for the offer of the wine when i come to Italy in May. If i cant bring it home, i will drink it before.
A big thanks must also go to John for organizing this, i will definately be there next year, nothing will keep me away.
A few funny things happenned to me though..
1. I travel 250 miles to meet for the first time someone who lives less than 2 miles from my house, in the next village, what a good surprise, and a crazy thing.
2. I score the best "own goal" in the history of Subbuteo, from the half way line as well. I will leave this to my opponent to tell how funny this was, it is too embarrassing for me to say.
All together this was a fantastic day, so thank you to everyone who attended and made it unmissable.

  It was the best own goal ever

Thanks for helping me out ;)

To be honest, I didn't see it all happen.

Mark flicked the ball back from the Halfway line ( I was obviously pressing hard :P ;) )
I presumed Mark had it covered. I looked down at my next defensive flick, then looked up to see Mark furiously waving his Goalkeeper like a wand and the ball in the back of the net, which then sprung out by the rod waving... We both looked at one another like this  and then started doing this
It was a very strange game. Mark had most of the possession, I really don't know how i won 6-0.  I've never scored 6 in a game ever and probably will never do again. A real fluke.

Was great seeing you again Mark. That drive home was a killer wasn't it?

Great to see all the Italian lads enjoying themselves.

A note of warning...Fabiobertola is more English than Italian.... 6 pints of English Ale and an Indian Curry  :wow: :wow: :wow:  ;)

Robbuteo...survived the Dungeons of Windsor Castle, but the Queen wants to know why there is a Hellas Verona Flag now flying instead of the Union Flag. ;)

I hope you all arrived back in Italy safely.

See you all soon

Ian

Crazy own goal, just one of those heavy-handed flicks, i did about 3 of them during the day, but always the other way. And. Yes i had most of the play, but could not do anything with it, i think you scored a goal with every shot.....to shoot 5 times and to win 6-0 is a miracle. It was funny though.

I got home just after midnight, had to stop on the M1 for half an hour before i became part of the car seat. Worth every ache and pain though.
