His research activities focus on the management of innovation, and in particular the management
of R&D activities in both industrial firms and public and private research institutions. His main
interests regard the organisation and evaluation of R&D acitivities and the collaboration between

firms and research institutions in the innovation process. In particular, he is doing research about
academic spin-off companies, national innovation system in Europe and Latin America, industrial
dynamics in the microsystem technology sector. He has written several paper and book chapters on
university-industry relationships, science and technology parks, R&D organization, high-tech spinoff
companies. He has organised the 1995 R&D Management Conference on “Knowledge,
Technology and Innovative Organisations” held in S.Miniato, Italy, in September 1995.
With regard to teaching activities, from 1991 to 1999 he has been responsible of the Master course
in Innovation Management held at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, where he still teaches in the R&D
management sections. He also teaches innovation management at the University of Pisa and the
University of Lecce.
Among most important collaborations, he has worked with Piaggio, Barilla, Centro Ricerche Fiat,
CSELT, Confindustria, some regional industrial associations and with local authorities (Regione
Toscana, Amministrazione Provinciale di Pisa, ecc.), for both research and training activities. He is
responsible of some international exchange programmes with foreign universities, especially in
China, Mexico and Argentina.

• GCE certificate (O and A level) at the Edron Academy, Mexico City, Mexico, Summer 1982;
• degree in Business Administration at the University of Pisa (10/12/1988), with a dissertation on
"Structure and segmentation of the coffee market in Italy";
• from 1989 he takes part in research projects in collaboration with Prof. Riccardo Varaldo,
Director of Scuola Superiore S.Anna;
• from August 18 to 31, 1991, he takes part to the First European Summer School on Management
of Technology at the University of Kiel, Germany;
• from October 1991 to August 1992 he takes part to the Master of Science Course in "Technology
and Innovation Management" at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex,
Brighton (United Kingdom). He obtains the M.Sc. degree on January 27, 1993, with a
dissertation on "Robotics in the UK and Italy and the Evolution Towards Advanced Robotics".

related to the constitution of science parks, University-Industry relations eand innovation

nota di demerito per slanzani che ha fatto un brutale copia incolla del facilmente recuperabile curriculum di Piccaluga dove si evince che ha molti titoli accademici, ma di quelli del Subbuteo manco l'ombra! :P

comanda e fai fa te e sarai servito come un re!

Andrea Piccaluga divenne Campione Junior della Subbuteo World Cup 1978 disputatasi a Londra.
Un furbone del marketing, tal Jim Leng, assicuro il ditino del giovane campione, pare versando la miseria di 500 sterline.
La cosa certa è che questa trovata assicurò una grossa copertura mediatica con una pubblicità gratuita di un valore stimato in 1.000.000 di sterline!
Venne quindi organizzato un tour promozionale lungo tutta la Gran Bretagna dove Piccaluga non perse neppure uno dei più dei 400 incontri disputati, segnado più di 2000 reti e incassandone solo 4 (quattro)!!!

Personalmente Piccaluga me lo ricordo solo di nome in quanto quando lui ha iniziato a praticare i campi in panno verde nella sezione "juniores", io avevo già intrappreso la strada che mi ha portato all'allontanamento dal subbuteo.

Ai miei tempi (nel lontano triennio 1975/1978) il campione indiscusso "seniores" è stato un certo Stefano Beverini che se non sbaglio era riuscito a vincere anche qualche edizione del Campionato del Mondo.

Beh, visto che non posso raccontare nulla a riguardo di Piccaluga, vi posso solo dire che a vedere giocare Beverini (l'ho incontrato in occasione di un torneo a Cremona, penso nel 1976) era uno spettacolo. Pensate: squadra rigorosamente HW (per forza, esistevano solo quelle !) con una passata di "pronto" sotto le basi, palla grossa bianca, e panno verde subbuteo.........che spettacolo !!!!

c'erano le moulded, i walker e soprattutto le flat!
che pare furoreggiassero prima dell'avvento dei lucidi...
